How to convert PNG to JPG
Add your PNG files
Add your PNG images from your device or drop them into the zone. Each file is checked before it is added.
Set quality and background
Pick the JPEG encoder setting and the colour applied to transparent areas. The original dimensions are kept.
Convert and download
Conversion runs in your browser. Download each JPG on its own, or every successful file in one ZIP archive.
Quality and transparency, without guesswork
What the conversion actually does, and what it does not do.
Quality and file size
The slider sets the JPEG encoder quality (90 by default). The downloaded file is a real JPEG, encoded by the browser from the PNG pixels: it is not a renamed PNG. A high value keeps more detail but can produce a larger file. The opposite happens too: a simple PNG — a screenshot, a logo, flat colour — can become a bigger JPG, because PNG was already very efficient there.
Transparency
JPG has no alpha channel. Transparent and semi-transparent pixels are composited onto the chosen background colour (white by default) before encoding.
Dimensions and metadata
No resizing or cropping is applied: the decoded width and height are reused as they are. The source PNG metadata is not copied into the JPG.
Local processing
The conversion uses your browser's Canvas API. Your images are processed on your device and are not uploaded for conversion.
Guides
Three practical guides to choose a format, handle transparency and set quality without surprises.
PNG or JPG: which format should you choose?
Both formats are everywhere, but they answer different constraints. Here is how to choose with confidence, and what actually changes in a conversion.
Read the guideConverting a transparent PNG to JPG
A transparent PNG converted to JPG needs a colour behind the empty areas. Prepared well, the result stays clean; prepared badly, it lands on black or with dirty edges.
